Stacked Strips
A project for dynamic motioin and color gradient graphic compositions using LED technology to add to infrastructural blank walls on flyover ramps, parking structures and the embankments that slope up to meet the bridges spanning the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers.
Description: A tool that can generate LED Strips that are vertically stacked across multiple panels in a random fashion. They cluster in bundles (6” bundle, 6” gap, 6” bundle). The ends of the bundles are tapered. Start and stop points for the bundles, bundle trim lengths, bundle size, and gap size are all driven by a universal random seed input.

Inputs: 3D Guide Curves, Flip Side (Outer face)
Parameters: Panel Dimensions, LED Strip dimensions, Max/Min bundle trim length, Max/Min bundle size, Max/Min gap size, Taper range, Bundling pattern, Universal Random Seed(
Output: Stacked LED strips as lofted volumes, Series of ‘Panels’ to support the strips
