Verdant is a conceptual deployment strategy; an arboretum generator and habitat restoration system.
Accretion deposition and retention of vegetation and sedimentary materials is promoted through natural and artificial stone jettying inland to counter wind and tidal scouring. Vertical retention walling under portions of pathways and inland jettying grade volumes of performance and experience; berms above beds below.
Dense canopied center isle skips to sparsely planted lapping shores, spatial character shifts through environmental color light shadow and sensory perceptions. Canopies to openings crossed following Olmstedian pathways terraforming higher ground and new low set foundations for resilient pleasurable environments for birds, animals, tourists and locals alike.
The planting strategy would take place in 3 phases over 5 to 10 years for growth, including the Ventilated Vistas towers, the visitor ed and info center, trails, the marina and outposts for scenic picnicking or camping.
